Everlia is built for intentional, respectful relationships. Here's how we protect you — and how you can protect yourself.
Profile verification
- A ✓ Verified badge appears only after Everlia has reviewed and approved a member's verification — never just for creating an account.
- Verification documents are stored privately and are only seen by authorised Everlia administrators.
- Verification lowers risk but doesn't replace your own judgement. Stay thoughtful with everyone.
How to recognise scams
- Never send money, mobile money, gift cards or crypto to someone you haven't met — whatever the story.
- Be careful if someone professes strong feelings very quickly, avoids video calls, or keeps postponing meeting.
- Watch for requests to move to another app immediately, or for investment and business 'opportunities'.
- Stories about emergencies, customs fees, hospital bills or stuck travel are common scam signals.
Safe dating advice
- Get to know someone on Everlia first, and consider a video call before meeting.
- Meet in a busy public place, arrange your own transport, and tell a friend or family member where you'll be.
- Keep personal details — home address, workplace, finances — private until trust is built.
- Trust your instincts. You can leave any conversation or date at any time.
Privacy controls
- Choose who sees your profile and whether you appear in Discover.
- Show photos to everyone or only to your matches, and show your city, country only, or nothing.
- Turn off online status and read receipts whenever you like. Everlia never shows your exact location.
Blocking
- Blocking stops someone from messaging you, liking you or sending connection requests.
- You'll disappear from each other's Discover and profile views.
- Block from any profile or conversation. Manage blocked members anytime in Settings.
Reporting
- Report profiles, messages, images or suspicious behaviour from the profile or conversation menu.
- Reports are confidential — the other member isn't told who reported them.
- A real person reviews every report. No one is banned automatically just because a report was made.
Account security
- Use a strong, unique password and never share it — Everlia staff will never ask for it.
- Only sign in on the official Everlia site. Be wary of links sent in messages.
- If you think your account was accessed by someone else, change your password right away.
Community guidelines
- Be honest about who you are and what you're looking for.
- Treat everyone with respect — across cultures, faiths and backgrounds.
- No harassment, hate, explicit content, solicitation or commercial promotion.
- Everlia is for adults (18+) seeking meaningful relationships.
Suspicious behaviour
- Pressure, threats, requests for money or explicit photos, and inconsistent stories are warning signs.
- If something feels wrong, stop replying, block, and report — you don't owe anyone an explanation.
- If you are ever in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
